I am especially focused on our youth and how they are holding onto their faith in this ever-changing world. My own two teenagers are no different than yours, and I'm committed to giving your children the space to manage stress, anxiety, and many other issues they are dealing with daily. Parenting/Co-Parenting is my other passion. Coaching parents in a married or divorced home communicate better and raise healthy children.

Hi, my name is David Pettengill and I am a Licensed Pastoral Christian Counselor, trained in family and individual counseling, pre-marital and marriage counseling, financial counseling, and life coaching, all with a foundation in biblical teachings. I am a Presidential Member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. I hold a B.A in Psychology from Dallas Baptist University, I believe that, although secular counseling certainly has its merits, biblical reference to life's challenges is the most productive and life-changing method for helping one another through difficult times. My purpose is to help you find your purpose, the one that God has for you! Christian Counselors believe in the power of God's word to help us heal and to help us move forward.

What does the Bible say about counseling?
Many times the cause of our problems is that we stop focusing on Christ and become distracted by everything around us. We must allow Christ to be our main focus.
As Christians we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our founding, we have been determined to make an impact. The core of our efforts is to bring fresh ideas and passion from a biblical perspective to the range of needs that a client may have. Through all of our endeavors we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs: That, through Christ, we can be healed. It may not be an easy fix, but for Christians, it is the most effective and life-changing method.

Christian counseling is using God’s Word to counsel others and has nothing to do with secular psychological counseling. Biblical counseling is used to teach, encourage, listen, and guide you to God's Purpose for you, to find your path, and determine what is holding you back from the greatness God has planned for you. I am here to help with issues in life, love, work, and spiritual health. I instruct my clients to take their trust and mind off of the world and put them back on Christ. Scripture continually tells us to renew our minds. There is no judgement, no hell-fire and brimstone. Only kindness, love, empathy, and God's Word.
